About CCC

The Casey Camera Club Inc. (‘CCC’ for short) is a group of photography enthusiasts who welcome new members, from raw beginners to old hands, to share in our passion for the making of photographic images.

Our club is a non-discriminatory and not-for-profit organisation, formed to share with its members, knowledge, skills and creativity in the art of photography. It provides the venue and a friendly environment for it’s members to learn or enhance skills in the taking and processing of photographic images.

UPDATE – 7th January 2022:

‘Print’ Section Suspended & DPI’s Only For The Club’s Monthly Competition – Online Zoom Meetings To Remain For Now.

It seems as quickly as we think about moving back to in-person meetings and workshops in our clubrooms at Merinda Park Learning & Community Centre, COVID-19 strikes once again, and forces us back to online communication methods! Like many others, it seems we just can’t get a break.

We had planned to hold a ‘welcome back’ night and resume our in-person Monthly Club Meetings, Member’s Image Judging Nights, and Workshops in 2022 – However, with the current situation of numerous new COVID-19 cases each day and subsequently many people requiring to isolate, we regret to inform members that we have made the hard decision to abandon our plans for in-person meetings and to continue with Zoom meetings at this point in time.

We have also made the hard decision to suspend the ‘Print’ section of our Member’s Monthly Competition and stick to the ‘Digital Projected Image’ (DPI) section for now as well.

These decisions have not been made lightly and we hope we can resume in-person events and return to prints in the coming months.

The safety of our members is our number one priority and we will not compromise on this. Please know that the committee are frantically working behind the scenes to adjust our plans and bring you more online content and meetings.

Our Club newsletter is sent out at least once a month to help keep members in the loop with the latest Club news – If you’re not already subscribed, click here to subscribe now.

Also, please visit our Facebook Group for recent updates and event notifications as the are posted.

For details on the current restrictions, please visit the DHHS website.

We regularly hold a ‘Monthly Members Meeting’ on the 1st Thursday of each month (except for the month of January) and non-members are more than welcome to attend to see what we get up to. This meeting is a regular catch-up and usually features a guest speaker or mini-workshop (TBA each month).

The Casey Camera Club also runs as ‘Monthly Members’ Image Judging Night’ on the 4th Thursday of each month (except for the month of January). A qualified judge joins the Club for the evening to critique and present awards to entries entered the month before. This is a great way to understand and learn more about image quality, composition, and photographic techniques.

Our meetings start at 7pm sharp at the:
Merinda Park Learning & Community Centre,
141–147 Endeavour Drive, Cranbourne North, 3977

Meetings conclude around 9pm.

We also break for a brief tea/coffee/light refreshment break and a natter with fellow members. Entry is $2 per person (to cover room hiring costs).

New Members are always welcome to attend these meetings!
